vodafone Spain SIM available calling plans and rates

AS WITH ALL SPANISH SIM CARDS, ALL INCOMING CALLS ARE FREE TO YOU WHEN YOU ARE IN SPAIN, NO MATTER WHERE THEY COME FROM.

Currently vodafone Spain SIMs offer the user the option of 5 different calling plans (called "Tarjetas").

· "Plan Vitamina" (Vitamin plans)

If you do not want to be always thinking about the best time of day to call, this plan is for you nor about the other phone you are calling to (whether it is another vodafone cell phone, a Movistar or amena cell or a landline) and want vodafone to reward you for using you SIM card, this plan is for you.

PLEASE NOTE: this plan is the default calling plan on all vodafone SIM cards. Unless you change your calling plan, the "Vitamina 10€ Free" plan is the one you will have. The default Vitamina plan has no "benefit" (see below) selected, you need to select one in order to take full advantage of the plan.

1 - "Vitamina Clásica":

There are 4 different bonuses available for the vitamin plan. All 4 have the same calling rate of 35 cents/min, all day, any day but each of the 4 (see below) have a different special advantage ("benefit"). Your advantage depends on which of the 4 Vitamina plans you decide to be on...

1 - "Vitamina Minutes 60 for 1": talk 60 minutos y pay only 1 to all landlines and vodafone cell phones in Spain.
This means that if you call another vodafone phone or landline in Spain, the call of up to 60 minutes will cost just 40 cents. (28 cents for the first minte plus the 12 cent connection fee). This plan is great if most of the phones you call are either other vodafone mobile phones or Spanish landlines (fixed phones).

2 - "Vitamina Messages 50% cheaper": send SMS messages to any vodafone Spain cell phone in Spain for half price (6 cents/message). This plan is great if you send a lot of text messages.
3 - "Vitamina 10 Euros Free": ** if you spend at least 20.00 Euros in calls between July 25th and Aug. 24th, you would receive the 10€ free top-up.

5 - "Plan Tiempo Libre" (Free Plan)

If you make most of your calls after 4pm on weekdays or on weekends, this plan is for you.

This plan offers you an amazing 12 cent/min on calls made in the afternoons (after 4:00pm) and evenings to any phone in Spain.

To change to this calling plan, dial *135*04# and then the talk key (launch call) on your cell phone or call 123 for vodafone customer service.

The following apply to all of the above calling plans.

· Rates are per minute and do not include the 16% Spanish sales tax.
· The first minute is billed as 1 complete minute and addtional minutes are billed in 30 second increments.
· Connection fee on all domestic calls is 0.12€.
· Text messages are 15 cents/message.
"Landlines" are considered normal landline phones and premium (eg. 901, 902, 903, 904, 905, 906, 907, 908) numbers are NOT included.

Changing between calling plans.

PLEASE NOTE: the "Vitamina 10€ Free" plan is the default calling plan on all vodafone SIM cards. If you want to change your calling plan you can do so up to 6 times a year for free. Additional changes in calling plan cost 6€ per change. Those 6 euros will be subtracted by vodafone from the prepaid credit in your SIm at the moment you change plans.

To change your plan to...

- "Vitamina Minutes 60 for 1": dial *135*01# - followed by the talk (launch call) key.
- "Vitamina Messages 50% cheaper": dial *135*02# - followed by the talk (launch call) key.
- "Vitamina 10€ Free": dial *135*03# - followed by the talk (launch call) key - (default plan your SIM is set to).
- "Vitamina per Second": dial *135*05# - followed by the talk (launch call) key.
- "Tiempo Libre": dial *135*04# - followed by the talk (launch call) key.

* = asterisk key.

EXAMPLE: if you want to be on the Vitamina plan with the talk 60 minutes and pay only 1 "benefit", you simply need to dial *135*01# - followed by the talk (launch call) key. That will put you on the chosen plan.

NOTE: You can check your current calling plan at any time by dialing *135# - followed by the talk (launch call) key.
