Choose your data
usage and control your spending.
The 3G SIM is pre-loaded
pre-loaded with the "bono" of data transfer of your choice. Once
used up, the customer has the option to recharge (top-up) the SIM card
with another "bono" of 100 sessions (25MB) or more of prepaid data
transfer.

- The data SIM card
is pre-loaded with the amount of prepaid data you choose to use
on sessions of internet or intranet data transfer. Each session
is good for 256 Kbytes or 10 min., whichever comes first.
Sessions are measured as follows:

Each session is a
combination of data volume transferred and time connected.
When the user (you) closes the session, the system calculates the amt.
of data transferred and the duration (in minutes) of the session.
EXAMPLES
1.- A user who is connected for 25 minutes and downloads 5MB during that
time will have consumed 20 sessions (20 sessions @ 256 Kb/session = 5
MB). In this case, the total charged to the pre-paid credits will be 5
MB.
2.- A user who is
connected for 30 minutes downloads only 100Kb during that time will have
consumed 3 sessions (3 sessions @ 10 minutes/session = 30 minutes). In
this case, the total charged to the pre-paid credits will be 30 minutes.
Each pre-paid pack
of credits (called a "bono") expires 3 months after activation (first
session use). When the initial pre-paid
credits are gone, the user has 2 options...
-EITHER-
1) Purchase another
data credit pack (called a "bono"). Currently, we have the
following "bonos" available...
- a) BONO BASICO - up to
25MB (100 sessions)
for 40€.
- b) BONO AVANZADO - up
to 200MB (800 sessions)
for 60€.
- c) BONO PREMIUM - up to
1GB (4096 sessions)
for 80€.
... and the new credits will be loaded into the SIM card. This
can be done by:

Calling free on 132 from your
vodafone mobile phone (a mobile phone with your vodafone SIM
card in it). |

Online
at the vodafone spain website.

c) |
At
Automatic Teller Machines. |
| |
d) |
Buying
a "cupon de recarga" (recharge voucher) at any reseller of
vodafone credit (dept. stores, gas stations, mobile phone
shops, supermarkets and thousands of other locations all
around Spain). |

Charging the top-up to your vodafone account (if you are
already a vodafone contract client). |

Whichever method you choose, you have to call toll-free on
123 from your vodafone mobile phone (a mobile phone with
your vodafone SIM card in it) or on
607 100 123 from another phone
(cost of 607... call depends on your network provider). You
have to ask vodafone customer service to turn your top-up
into one of the data "bonos" mentioned above (a, b, c). |
Outside of the "bonos"
(data credit packs), the unit has a data usage cost of 2 Euros per MB.
This is what it would cost if you used the data transfer without buying
a "bono" first.
IMPORTANT: If a new
40€ data credit pack ("bono") is not purchased after the current one expires
or is used up, internet/intranet usage will have the normal rate above.
So, as you can see,
the purchasing of one of the 3 data credit packs ("bonos") reduces significantly the cost of
data transfer when compared to the normal prices above.

- If you choose to have your data SIM
card VOICE enabled and to add prepaid call credit as well as
data credit on the SIM card, you will be able to remove
it from your PCMCIA data card, mini USB modem or other device and used
in any GSM European compatible unlocked cell phone for voice
calls and SMS text messaging.
